We are looking for an experienced Senior Gypsum & Painter to join our team. This is not a production gypsum installation or standard painting role. We are looking for a skilled craftsman who takes pride in delivering high-quality finishes and complex decorative work.
The ideal candidate must have experience in advanced gypsum works, plastering, painting, and decorative finishes for premium residential and commercial interiors.
Key Responsibilities
- Construct complex gypsum ceiling and wall designs.
- Install curved gypsum features, bulkheads, niches, floating ceilings, feature walls, and other architectural details.
- Carry out high-quality plastering, skim coating, and surface preparation.
- Prepare walls and ceilings to a premium finish ready for decorative coatings.
- Apply interior and exterior paint to a high standard.
- Apply decorative finishes such as:
- Rust effect finishes
- Concrete effect finishes
- Textured decorative coatings
- Limewash finishes
- Metallic finishes
- Faux finishes
- Follow technical drawings and design specifications.
- Maintain excellent workmanship, cleanliness, and attention to detail on every project.
- Work independently or as part of a team to complete projects on schedule.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' experience in gypsum installation and finishing.
- Strong experience in plastering and skim coating.
- Excellent painting skills.
- Experience with decorative paint and specialty finishes.
- Ability to produce complex gypsum designs, not only standard partitions and ceilings.
- Good knowledge of surface preparation and finishing techniques.
- Ability to read drawings and follow design details.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Professional attitude and commitment to quality.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with one or more of the following is an advantage:
- Decorative rust-effect finishes
- Venetian plaster
- Limewash
- Concrete-effect finishes
- Microcement
- Metallic decorative paints
- Luxury residential or hospitality projects
We Are Looking For
A craftsman who enjoys producing premium-quality work rather than high-volume production. Quality, precision, and attention to detail are far more important than speed.
We Are Not Looking For
- Production gypsum installers
- Standard drywall installers with no finishing experience
- Basic painters with no decorative finishing skills
